Recording Sound by Mark Brocklesby is an excellent introduction for anyone new to the world of sound recording. Mark makes this technical subject accessible and enjoyable, balancing theory with practical tips and images. This book goes beyond the basics, offering a well-rounded overview for both hobbyists and semi-professionals looking to capture instruments professionally.

Mark covers the essentials for recording vocals, drums, guitars, piano, and ensembles providing a straightforward yet effective guide to enhancing your productions. He goes beyond conventional recording techniques covering topics such as reamping and sound design bringing the matter to a brand new creative approach.

Moreover he touches topics such as editing and multi-microphone recording management in order to get recordings ready for mixing.
"Recording Sound" is a concise, hands-on resource that’s easy to pick up and hard to put down. This book provides a valuable guide for hobbyists and in Mark’s words, "food for thought" for professionals.

Jules Manser aka Marzman,J is a London based producer, remixer and co-owner of Big Smoke Productions. He cites his approach as being an eclectic exploration of sound and rhythm. Mixing and blending concepts to sample many styles of electronic based music. Marzman,J refuses to bend to the conformity of only focusing on just one genre. As a student of groove, if you can tap your feet, or nod your head; no matter the syncopation style, then the job is done. From grime to house, dubstep to pop, Marzman,J is always on the lookout for artists that can look further than what the masses have heard before.
